Nerissa is a Magical! In between university classes, she fights monsters known as Fortunes alongside her queerplatonic partner Citrine, her best friend Sol, and her squad mates Veronica and Malindu.

On Valentines Day she gets hit by an arrow from a Fortune. Seemingly harmless at first, Nerissa soon discovers that she's trapped in a time loop.

• Some loops end with Nerissa sleeping peacefully. Other loops end with Nerissa experiencing an anxiety attack.

• She does not. However, at some parts of the story she believes she is dying at the end of each loop, and there is some discussion around that.

How traumatised does the loop leave Nerissa?

• While the loop causes Nerissa great anxiety at times, she ultimately never loses hope. She never spirals down into despair. It is implied she recovers quite well from the experience.

• Nerissa has complicated feelings about being someone on the aromantic spectrum that does experience romantic attraction. She worries that she subconsciously thinks of romantic relationships as better than queerplatonic relationships. There is a conversation about this.
